Management of contractors can involve setting up a system to manage contractors’ health and safety information, training, insurance and specific documents that relate to the contractor and a particular project. This is not always an easy task as projects often involve a large number of contractor companies, operatives and plant and equipment, and so on! Collecting this information and managing the information can be a very time consuming task.
The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 places a duty on the PSCS / Contractor to demonstrate competence and that they will manage projects in a safe and compliant manner.
